| Beth Newman deStanley heads
the cadre of instructors at Main Tree and is eminently qualified to do so.
An accomplished show rider, Beth has successfully competed in the hunter
and jumper classes for many years on the show circuits in Virginia,
Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida.
With her champion Trendsetter, Beth
has won the Virginia Field Hunter Championships enough times to retire the
trophy, and has won the title "Champion of Champions" in the
North American Field Hunter competition. Beth is also an experienced
amateur jockey and race horse trainer, and she has won the Ladies Timber
Series of races in the Virginia Point-to-Point circuit with her famous
horses Duke Kahana Moku and Bird on a Swing.

Main Tree Farm
is located in the territory of the Loudoun Hunt, and many of Main Tree’s
riders enjoy regular foxhunting outings with the Loudoun Pack and the
other Hunts in the area, including the Fairfax, Middleburg, Piedmont,
Warrenton, Casanova, Bull Run, Rappahannock and Blue Ridge hunts. During the Spring point-to-point
racing season, Main Tree riders participate in the Hunter Pace pairs races
fielding teams in the Fast, Optimum, and Junior divisions and have
consistently collected wins in each division.
Main Tree riders are also active members
of the Virginia Horse Shows Association (VHSA), and the United States
Equestrian Federation (USEF), and compete regularly in Hunter and show
jumping classes in a variety of horse shows at such venues as Morven Park
International Equestrian Center in Leesburg, Glenwood Park in Middleburg,
Upperville, Culpeper, Prince George's equestrian center, the Virginia
Horse Center in Lexington and many local
shows.
The Main Tree Farm equestrian team
competes in the National Capital Equestrian League, an inter-school league
for junior riders in the Washington, D.C. area.
